Microsoft's youngest professional has died, aged 16. BillGates's grief as girl computer genius and dies after epileptic fit aged just16. Condolences have poured in from around the world after the passing ofpromising young computer genius Arfa Karim Randhawa, from Faisalabad, Pakistan.

The teenager diedon Saturday night after complications resulting from an epileptic stroke.Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who offered to pay for Karim's treatment, toldthe family he was sad to learn of her death and the loss of such a rare talent,her father said.

Young genius: Arfa Karim Randhawa, from Faisalabad, Pakistan,became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of nine in2005.

Her hero: Karim pictured with Microsoft founder Bill Gates(left) in 2006. Funeral prayers were offered on Sunday in Lahore before herbody was taken to her native village Ram Dewali, Faisalabad for burial. Scoresof people, including Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, ministers, politicians,friends and Karim's fellow students gathered to support the grieving familyduring the procession.

According to local reports, Karim went into a coma on December22 after suffering an epileptic attack and cardiac arrest. She was admitted totreatment at Combined Military Hospital in Lahore and was on life support atthe Intensive Care Unit when she suffered a tracheotomy complication onSaturday evening that resulted in bleeding in her throat.

Despite earlier reports her progress had improved, doctors wereunable to save her. Karim rose to international fame when she became theyoungest Microsoft Certified Professional - a title awarded to those who masterMicrosoft programs - at the age of nine in 2005.

A promising future: After earning the CCP title, Karim wassubsequently invited to visit Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington.

Dream come true: Karim and Microsoft founder Bill Gates enjoyeda brief meeting during her visit to the U.S. in 2006. The company website notesadults often use the certification to further their careers in the tech field.After earning the certification, Karim was subsequently invited to visitMicrosoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington by founder Bill Gates.

Karim, then ten, met with Gates and other Microsoft executivesduring the visit, undoubtedly impressing them with her knowledge of programmingat such a young age. According to Geo.TV, after Karim's hospitalization, Gatesin January reached out to the family and offered to pay for her medical care.It was reported he also proposed moving Karim to the U.S. for better treatment,although doctors decided it was against her best interest given Karim wason a ventilator.

The young girl indeed made her country proud, representing Pakistanaround the world with her incredible aptitude and skill.

Karim received the Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal in the field ofScience and Technology, presented by the Prime Minister of Pakistan in 2005,and was also the recipient of the President’s Award for Pride of Performance.In November 2006, she was invited by Microsoft to be a part of the keynotesession in the Tech-Ed Developers conference in Barcelona. She was the onlyPakistani among over 5,000 developers in that conference, themed 'Get ahead ofthe game'.

A permanent monument is also to be erected in her honour. The ITMedia City in Karachi will be renamed after the computer prodigy, and will nowbe known as Arfa Karim IT Media City, Karachi, according to local mediareports.

As of 2011, at the age of 16, Arfa Karim was studying atLahore Grammar School Paragon Campus in her second year of A Levels. Shesuffered from cardiac arrest after an epileptic seizure on December 22, 2011and was admitted to Lahore's Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in criticalcondition.

On January 2, 2012 Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf RazaGilani visited the hospital with his daughter Fiza Batol Gilani to inquireabout the health of Arfa Karim Randhawa.

On January 9, 2012, Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft,has made contact with Arfa's parents, and directed his doctors to adopt"every kind of measure" for her treatment. On January 13, 2012, thecondition of world's youngest MCP Arfa Karim improved and some parts of herbrain showed signs of improvement. Arfa fell desperately ill last month anddoctors said she had suffered brain damage, leaving her in a coma at theCombined Military Hospital (CMH) in Lahore. Her father, Amjad Karim Randhawa,said Microsoft had raised the possibility of flying Arfa to the US for care.

On January 14, 2012 Arfa Karim Passed away at 9:50 PM(Pakistan Standard Time) at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore. She hadremained in intensive care unit at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) aftersuffering an epileptic seizure and cardiac arrest a few weeks ago.

Afifteen year-old boy came home with a Porsche car and his parents began to yelland scream, 'Where did you get that car?'

An old prospector shuffled into the town of El Indio, Texasleading a tired old mule. The oldman headed straight for the only saloon in town, to clear his parched throat. Hewalked up to the saloon and tied his old mule to thehitch rail.

As hestood there, brushing some of the dust from his face and clothes, a young gunslinger stepped out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other.

The young gunslinger looked at the old man andlaughed, saying, "Hey old man, can you dance?" Theold man looked up at the gunslingerand said, "No son, I don't dance... never reallywanted to". A crowd had gathered as the gunslingergrinned and said, "Well, you old fool, you're gonnadance now!" and started shooting at the old man'sfeet.

The old prospector, not wanting to get a toe blown off, startedhopping around like a flea on a hot skillet. Everybody standing around waslaughing..

When hislast bullet had been fired, the young gunslinger,still laughing, holstered his gun and turned around to go back into the saloon.The old man turned to his pack mule, pulled out adouble-barrelled 12 gauge shotgun and cocked both hammers. The loud clickscarried clearly through the desert air. The crowd stopped laughing immediately.

The young gunslinger heard the sounds too, and he turned around veryslowly. The silence was deafening. The crowd watched as the young gunman staredat the old timer and the large gaping holes of those twin12gauge barrels.

Thebarrels of the shotgun never wavered in the old man'shands, as he quietly said;

"Son,have you ever kissed a mule's ass?"

In a village there was a family: a father, a mother and a son.The son was grown up but he did not do any work. The mother always protectedhim. One day the father got really mad and declared that the son should not begiven any dinner unless he worked and earned some money that day.

The next morning the father woke upand left for work. The mother came to her sons rescue again. She gave him a 100rupee note and told him to show that as earnings to his father. The father cameback in the evening and asked the son what he earned. The son showed the 100rupee note. The father grabbed the note, studied it carefully and shouted youdid not earn this, someone, perhaps your mother, just gave it to you. Sayingthat the father tore the note in pieces and threw it out of the window. Themother watched as the money went down in pieces, but did not say anything. Theson said whatever and walked away.

The next evening the same thinghappened again. The son showed his father the note given by his mother. Againthe father took it, tore it up and threw it out of the window. Once again theson and the mother watched silently. It went on for couple more days.

Finally one day the son decided hehad enough. Now his mother was really hesitating giving him more money. So hewent out and sought work. He helped a farmer feed his cattle and earned somemoney. He helped a shopkeeper move goods around and earned some more money. Bythe end of the day he had earned a twenty rupee note.

When the father came back, the sonshowed him his earnings proudly. The father looked at it carefully and didexactly the same thing. He tore it into pieces and declared the money was givento the son by someone else.

The son was in tears. He started yelling at his father. He randown and tried to collect all the pieces.

When he came upstairs, he found hisfather waiting at the door. Come, let’s have dinner. The father said smiling. Iknow that was the money you really earned. Because you could not watch it beingdestroyed. You know its real value.

An old farmer andhis grandson lived on a farm. One day the grandson said, “I try to read theBhagavad-Gita just like you but I don't understand it much. And whatever littleI understand, I forget it very soon. What is the use of reading this book?”

The old farmerquietly turned from putting coal in the stove and said, “Take this coal basketdown to the river and bring me back a basket of water.”

The young boy didas he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back home. Thefarmer asked him to try again, and again. But every single time, the waterleaked out of the basket before he got back to the house. Finally, he saidexhausted, “See Grandpa, it’s useless!”

“So you think it’suseless?” the old farmer said, “Look at the
basket.” The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that thebasket had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket to a new clean one,inside and out.

“Son, that's whathappens when you read a book like the Bhagavad-Gita. You might not understandor remember everything, but when you read it again and again, you will realizethe benefit one day.”

One of theinvocatory verses for the Gita says:

There was a man, whohad worked all his life, had saved all of his money, and was a real miser whenit came to his money.

        Just before he died, he said tohis wife...'When I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in thecasket with me. I want to take my money to the afterlife with me.'

        And so he got his wife to promisehim, with all of her heart, that when he died, she would put all of the moneyinto the casket with him.

Well, he died.

        He was stretched out in thecasket, his wife was sitting there - dressed in black, and her friend wassitting next to her. When they finished the ceremony, and just before theundertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said,

'Wait just a moment!'

        She had a small metal box withher; she came over with the box and put it in the casket. Then the undertakerslocked the casket down and they rolled it away.

So her friend said,
'Girl, I know you were not foolish enough to put all that money in there with your husband.'

The loyal wife replied,
'Listen, I'm a Christian;

        I cannot go back on my word. Ipromised him that I was going to put that money into the casket with him.' Youmean to tell me you put that money in the casket with him!?!?!?'

'I sure did,' said the wife.

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked upsomething off the ground and started to put it in her mouth.

I took the itemaway from her and I asked her not to do that.

        'Why?' my daughterasked. 'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it'sdirty, and probably has germs' I replied. At this point, my daughter looked atme with total admiration and asked, 'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, youare so smart.'

        I was thinking quickly. 'All momsknow this stuff. It's on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't letyou be a Mom.'

        We walked along in silence for 2or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.

There once was afarmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was noordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him. After searching highand low among the hay for a long while; he gave up asked the help of a group ofchildren playing outside the barn.

        He promised them that the personwho found it would be rewarded. Hearing this, the children hurried inside thebarn, went through and around the entire stack of hay but still could not findthe watch. Just when the farmer was about to give up looking for his watch, alittle boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance.

        The farmer looked at him andthought, "Why not? After all, this kid looks sincere enough." So thefarmer sent the little boy back in the barn. After a while the little boy cameout with the watch in his hand! The farmer was both happy and surprised and sohe asked the boy how he succeeded where the rest had
failed.

        The boy replied, "I didnothing but sit on the ground and listen. In the silence, I heard the tickingof the watch and just looked for it in that direction."

One Sardar came toMadras and wanted to do shopping in Burma bazaar.

        His Tamilian friend told theSardar that the prices will be costly and hence asked him to bargainfor half the price.

        Sardar went and askedthe price of stereo for which the vendor told 2000 Rs.

        Sardar asked for Rs.1000. vendortold he can give for Rs.1800 for which Sardar told no, no only Rs.900.

        Vendor told ok, I will give it for1500 Rs. for which Sardar bargained for Rs.750. It was going on like this.

        Finally vendor out of irritationsaid he will give the Sardar the stereo free of cost.

Our Sardar asked whether he willgive two.

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom ofchildren while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to seeeach child's work.

As she got to one little girl who was working diligently,she asked what the drawing was. The girlreplied, "I'm drawing God."

A little girl wastalking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physicallyimpossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a verylarge mammal its throat was very small.

The little girl statedthat Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that awhale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible. The little girlsaid, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah". The teacher asked,"What if Jonah went to hell?"

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother dothe dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother hadseveral strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.

She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Whyare some of your hairs white, Mom?" Her mother replied, "Well, every timethat you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turnswhite."
